Our returns are calculated using a time- weighted return that gives the same weight to time periods regardless of the amount of money invested. Because time weighted returns minimize the effect of cash flows on a portfolio, it is the only calculation that fairly compares the performance of one money manager to another or to an appropriate index.
  • Quarterly review and advice letters and presentations.

To analyze the return on a portfolio, we compare a portfolio's return against:

  • an index or a blend of indices; and
  • the returns of other money managers.
